May 20th marks World Bee Day, a day to celebrate the vital role bees play in our ecosystem. To mark this special day we invited a bee keeper into Primary 4 to tell us all about her bees. We learnt all about a bees life expectancy, how bees survive, the different roles of bees and the dangers of the Asian hornet. The pupils were very enthusiastic and each asked a question they wanted to know more about. We had a fabulous morning in Primary 4 and we even got to hold bees wax and taste honey! 🍯 🐝
